You find a tasty way to eat them, of course. Blueberries were on sale at Direbergs last week for $1.00 per pint package. Mom bought two of them thinking we could make something delicious. After thinking about it for a while, my taste buds wanted buttermilk pancakes with blueberries. I bought a quart of buttermilk and then used the Joy of Cooking recipe for buttermilk pancakes and then added blueberries. We decided to have them for dinner Saturday evening. They were so good we decided to use the 2nd container and the other half of the buttermilk to make a 2nd batch for breakfast Sunday morning. The Joy of cooking recipe is for a small batch using 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of buttermilk. We made a double batch and used an entire pint of blueberries. Here are photos of the blueberries as purchased.

After washing, they looked pretty good sitting in the bowl.

At first, it seemed that for a small batch of pancake batter that used 2 cups of flour and 2 cups of buttermilk, an entire pint of blueberries was a lot. I decided to go for it anyway. As you can see, there were a lot of blueberries in each pancake.

After turning, you can see that they cooked up perfectly.

We had blueberry syrup to put on them, but Mom wanted to really splurge and got out the whipped cream too.

It was amazingly tasty.
